Guys:
I have overworked my steering running tracks

I found a company that taps the steering box for the Roxor and sells a kit

I an putting a heavy duty steering kit in

What will break next? The ears on the knuckles?

I have debris in the fluid from when I overheated and clogged my Power steering pump, they seem to be easy to come by

Where do I get a spare steering box? Or is this easy to clean out or is there a crossover from redhead or someone?

Does any body know where to drill to tape in the lines for hydro boost steering cylinder ??
Thanks

I wonder if just using a TJ gear box would be a good cheap upgrade. @Max A. did one. What’s your thoughts on that Max? He’s probably better off getting one IMO.

I know of no one that has tapped the stock box and is still running it. 2 issues. the stock pump does not move enough fluid for it. 2 the boxes don't hold up. Originally there was a company that would drill your box for you but they stopped because of the number of failures and that you could not get individual parts for the steering boxes once they fail to rebuild.
Personally I use a PSC TJ XD box with a TC style pump and hydraulic assist. It works great but did take a good bit of roxor modification to make it work. Jesses Hanies's roxor is also now using the same set up I went to.
One finger steering sitting still with the locker on. It's great! I can literally wedge my front wheels up against a rock and steer and either the entire front end of the roxor will push over or the rock will move.

West Texas off road will tap the box and sell a kit

But Max mentions nobody that has done that is still running it

What version is the best fit: CJ, TJ, YJ, JK or is there another?

Looks like TJ? In Max’s comment?

I only know of 2 and neither of them still run it. Jesses being one. I know there is probably more out there...

I chose the tj box which is the same as a yj and xj. cj is very similar as well. All much more compact then JK or JL boxes.

I’m curious where/what the threshold is for the need to upgrade boxes? What’s the weak point that breaks? The sector shaft?

Hammers is hard on them for sure.

I had a mini truck with tracks in it. It’s definitely rough on steering parts.

One of the Roxor Guru’s swapped back from a TJ Gear box to a Roxor Box

But definitely recommends upgrading the pump
