Hey does anyone know if you register your roxor in Montana if you get a full size plate? I know South Dakota you can register the Roxor but with mortocyle size plates

I live in Montana and I believe you can do either. I went with the utv plate because it’s a one time fee and it’s permanent so it makes more sense than renewing every year and you can still drive on the roads.

When I registered mine the guy at the Montana MVD said I couldn't get a full size plate because Roxors are classified as a UTV and not a car/truck. I'm not sure if you can change that classification on the title, if you could then you would be able to get the full plate.

Yes. I got the moto plate too from MT, but went straight to Amazon and ordered a custom plate with exactly the same number on it. I added the word Montana at the top and Permanenr on the bottom. Search 'custom license plate" in Amazon. Easy!

I changed mine. Reads as a passenger vehicle.

Recently registered my 2022 Roxor in Butte.
You have to pass a safety list plus proof of residence and insurance.
I received a permeant plate one time expense. It is legal for street legal.
But it is the size of a motorcycle plate.

My '18 was licensed in '22 in Lake County MT as a side by side, one time $150 registration/license fee, is permanently licensed and fully roadable. I didn't have to pass any safety list, no inspection.

Here in Florida, you cannot register a side by side for street use. Roxors are assigned a VIN that states it being manufactured as a side by side. You can register a golf cart though. Most side by sides here in Florida on the street are registered in a different state with a motorcycle plate.

My Roxor was made street legal in Michigan and afterward the Michigan DMV assigned it an Assembled Vehicle VIN. With the assembled vehicle VIN you get an automotive plate, not a motorcycle plate. When I brought the Roxor to Florida, the DMV transferred the Roxor and gave me a full automotive plate.

Mine is Street legal in Louisiana with the Mini Truck registration. No full size tag but legal.
