I have a brand new ‘24 model which is having an issue in the drive train that I was hoping to gather some insights on. In any gear, when I let off the gas I am hearing a pretty loud “clunk” sound. Sounds like something is loose. Any ideas?

Usually a u-joint, but I have a light clunk which is just the drivetrain noise.

USMC, I wouldn’t classify my noise as a “light clunk” at all…quite noticeable, at just about any speed, in any gear. All I have to do is let off on the gas pedal and it happens. I sure would like to figure out where it is coming from before it gets worse!

Springs doesn’t need greasing do they? Check them and all u bolts. Leave trans in neutral and check driveshaft slop in rear. Maybe your backlash is bad. And lastly check engine and trans mounts.

I would definitely check the u-joints. It usually happens on take off or on slow down. It will be loud. The U-joints probably dried out. The factory is not known for good assembly procedures on the Roxors. My factory issue was that the transmission adapter leaked gear lube.

Excuse my ignorance, but due the u-joints have zerk fittings to inject grease?
