I am receiving my plates to block off the EGR? Is this the two spots to place the plates?

Never owned a diesel before and want to make sure I'm not getting ahead of myself!

This is a 2.7L '24 Model

Thanks,

I would like to see what you come up with. where did you get the plates?

EGR delete is pretty easy. I think you might have something wrong there I can take some pics tomorrow if you want. I did it 4 years ago as part of a full under the hood "upgrade" to the minimum acceptable standard things should be built to.

That would be awesome, this is the 2.7L idk how different it is. I don't think it's the same

I have no idea. I put my block plates on the manifold and threw a bunch of stuff that you have in your picture, into the garbage. Looking through my posts to see if I can find my write up

Awesome thank you!

Those are the only pictures of mine that might be remotely helpful. It was 4.5 years ago.

In one pic you can see I blocked off at the manifold. I also completely removed the EGR cooler and all associated parts. If I remember correctly it's not necessary unless you do whatever it is I did to the air intake pipe and the hold down mod to keep from leaking boost. If you remove the EGR cooler you have to do something with the coolant lines I just don't remember what.

Maybe check this thread.

My second pic on that first link is where you can see the second block plate. It's on the gold pipe.

Yes, on the 2.7L 2024, the EGR suppression plates are usually placed at the inlet and outlet of the EGR cooler. Make sure that your kit includes everything necessary (seals, screws) and that your ECU will not trigger an error. First time with a diesel? Good modif, you will appreciate the difference!

Thanks,

Were you able to delete the EGR? If so, did the ECU throw an error?

Also look at "Conversations...Egr" there are more details and pictures.

If you do an EGR delete on the 2.7L motor wouldn't it put the vehicle in limp mode? Since Noone has cracked the ECM security features

I have a 2024 and it will not put your roxor in limp mode, keep everything electronic plugged in and just install the plates.

That is badass! I'm waiting for someone to Crack the code before I buy the 2.7L edition. It's not practical for daily commute at 55mph max

Going 70 in my roxor feels sketchy as hell.

In my opinion, If you have the right upgrades it's not bad at all, not the most comfortable, but no where near sketchy.

I just got back 10 minutes ago from a 900 mile trip. I did 70mph most of the time lol

I've never driven a solid front axle vehicle. Also never been that fast on four wheels with no roof or windshield. That may be part of why it felt sketchy.
