I’m new here. I’m about to buy a ‘23 base model with 800 miles, for a daily driver and occasional off-road.

Any advice on what to look for as I inspect??

UPDATE: $16k later, got me a slick rig w/ windshield, roof, Jerry can and that’s it. 2022 and 850 mi. Cash. Waiting on parts to come in the mail to change hubs, add blinkers and backseat, some slanted bars and steps. I am LIVING THE DREAM, wife not so much :)

NOW FOR SALE.

These are pretty reliable. I would look for any major scratches or scrapes on the undercarriage, but if it only has 800 miles should be good. Also feel how it changes gears.

Front wheel bearings. If they weren’t repacked then you’ll need to pull and pack them as they tend to come under lubed. Unless Mahindra has fixed that issue but I doubt it.

You will like the 2023. Be aware, you can not tune the 2.7l as of yet. Plan on checking ALL fluids. TC and transmission were a bit low on mine. My coolant was low when I got it. Dealer topped it off and it was a bit low again after a few rides. I haven't added any in the last 1 ½. My first lube took a lot of grease. So when you lube yours, you will see if it has ever been lubed before.

The wife might like it more if you order some OEM Side Steps from Diesel Freak. They make getting in and out easier, especially with Tall Tires.
My first Improvement to my 2024 was hauling it to my local Tire Shop for an upgrade to 235/85R16 M&S Tires.
