Thanks for the replies and photos. Also, what was your compressed and extended length with the 4 inch springs? I am trying to decide if I wanna go with 4 inch or 2 inch springs.

Man the stock shock location SUCKS. I went ahead and installed ford shock towers and 12" travel shocks up front. Rear i have stock Z-71 rear shocks out back they are a about 8" travel. A 10" out back is about all you will need cause they are inboard so much.

rear is just some stock 99-06 factory ranchos. But i would suggest getting a better unit. It was something to get me going.

Nice. Simple bolt on. I have a set of Dana 60s that are going under this winter. I'll have to do this shock tower.

I welded them on. You have to cut the inner fender to get them to work, and cut off the old mounts.

Be aware that you will hit the shock body with the stick brake line bracket. So I’m relocating it you can see I cut the bracket just haven’t gotten to see where to reweld it back

If you do 60s if got the shock towers for you! Specific fit to the roxor.

If your going through all that work you shouldn’t mount your shocks on the top of the axle. Keep your axle mount low and to the front or back of the axle. Shock placement on the axle will affect ride quality and axle wrap.

Good thing about this I can make changes when I swap axles. It’s going work out well. I’ll probably push my axle forward another inch when I make A swap

Ideally you want your shocks to be mounted in such a way that they are staying as close to vertical throughout the axle path.

When your shocks lean away from the axle path your compression rate softens later in the travel making the suspension bottom harder.

you should split the difference so that your compression rate stays as static as possible.

It should look like this at full droop. Vertical at ride height and slightly leaned back at full compression.

I get it, But currently with these axles There just isn't much room. I dont have Bump stops... so its cushy until it grabs a fender LOL
