ECU removal?

I went to send in my ecu to DF for a tune and I couldn't get it to release. I lifted the handle release a number of times but couldn't pull it off the body.

I don't want to damage it. I tried prying carefully with a screw driver but no joy.

Mine is a 2018 so could never have been removed for years.

Are there any techniques I should consider?

If I remember correctly you have to slide it first the flip it up

There are some YouTube videos on how to do it. That's what I did cause I didn't know how. There's a 1.43 min You tube video that's the second one that comes up. That will get it off

I would suggest pulling on the slide piece at the same time as lifting the handle. This might help it along.

Make sure the tie-wrap is not too close and not letting the slide move completely.
