Military OEM Glovebox

Hello All, my items below the seats were getting wet. I would forget to carry my registration and insurance every time also, so I came up with the idea to install an OEM Military Glovebox.

Granted, this is not what I had in the USMC, it was much larger in the USMC. This is actually a Belt Medic Kit pouch from Sarcoinc.com.

Anyway, now I can keep my registration and insurance in the cab without getting wet.

USMC What I have done is install ATV Roll Bar Mounted Sun Visors. I then use a Large Spring (Paper Clip) to clamp a note book to the upper side of the visor with my Insurance Card etc in the Note Book. So far this has worked fine.

The under seat storage compartments do need to be weatherproofed much better.

OK. Here's what I did: I went on Amazon and ordered a plastic glove box for a boat. (Here's the link: https://a.co/d/2wm0lnZ ) Pactrade is the brand and I got the one with the two fold-down cup holders. I don't really use the cup holders, but the door is more solid than the one without them. As for installation, be damn sure you mask, measure and mark it all off before you cut or drill any holes. (Metal does not heal, only living flesh.) I suggest making a smaller hole in the middle before you determine the actual edge placement. As you can see in the picture of mine, I kept the outer lip of the box about 3/4" above the bottom of the dash panel. I have the add-on AC/Heater thingy and there were no clearance issues for me at all. I am VERY HAPPY with this setup!!!
And NO! I don't get any considerations from Amazon!
