Moab 2026

I think My Roxor has a plaque/sticker thing on the dash that says it weighs 2990lb, pretty sure that is what it says,

No brakes, I use a ram Cummins, I don’t even notice it

I have towed it up and down I-70
Hwy 40 From Steamboat to Vernal, Ut
Up to Flaming Gorge 3x’s from Vail Colorado, 5hr each way

Vail to Silverton and back 5hrs

Vail to Billings MT & Back (that’s 8hrs each way) 640mi

Vail to Denver once or twice 100mi, drove around thru the City to get to the axle shop

Vail to Grand Junction 3x’s 120mi

Some short hauls

I don’t think anyone cares about an old man driving a pickup 5-10mph below the speed limit towing what appears to be some old leaf spring jeep w a little S Dakota plate
My tow vehicle will be smaller but under its rating. I also drive slow love the mpg over first one up the hill. Being a CDL driver has that effect. Was gonna trailer it but was at its max. Tried installing a brake controller but these new pos suvs have over complicated the process. Flat tow seems like an easier option. My 2020 says 3035

What would you say should be the max speed? Have about 100 miles of I15 before its all single lane roads. About 700 miles of driving down

Somewhat depends on the tow vehicle
And Driveshaft status

The owners manual says 55mph max
I try to stay under 60mph with the driveshaft attached

Driveshaft off - whatever, speed limit or 5mph under up to 75mph behind the Cummins

It tows super smooth and you save the tare weight of the trailer, 1500-2000lb or whatever it might be

700mi haul - I would take off the drive shaft for sure
That is 4 bolts, 10-15min job w hand tools
5 min job with a battery impact wrench

Suck part is you gotta crawl underneath, but the Roxor is the easiest vehicle in the world to work on…

Tom, 14 and 15 would be fine! I think after we all meet up on the 14th it will give us a better idea of what we will be able to do the rest of the week. There are several different levels of roxor builds and capabilities.

Max. Is there some rating level for off-road vehicles that you can pass on or is it somewhat more just an opinion and experience ? Would be good to know. Thanks.

Will anyone be there on Sunday the 13? I should rolling into town that morning and ready to hit the trails that afternoon after getting settled in.

I have no idea yet. I’m hoping to drive straight thru and maybe get a quick nap in the 4 corners area and have a breakfast at dove creek, co. Once I’m rolling I’ll have a better idea. Also waiting for diesel prices a few days out to determine my route. Maybe we could plan an evening ride somewhere.

I have a good used Cecco t case skid if anyone is looking. Have a good set of factory front leafs as well as the level lift and rear 3” leafs but they will need new bushings. Also have some take off shocks from the level lift and 3” rear spring combo I used to run. The shocks I’ll give away free. Everything else I’ll negotiate on. Let me know if you want any of these items and I’ll throw them in the truck. I’ll be bringing lots of spare parts along (starter, alternator, fuel pump, ball joints, etc) should someone need parts.

TxRoadkill
I will send my details DM

Is there a hotel that is standing out to everyone?

Going to book soon
