What is the benefits of doing this?

Cleaner engine bay and cleaner engine. The EGR is taking used exhaust and pumping it back into the engine. You to save the environment. That causes the internals of the engine to become dirty faster.

If you have the 2.7, the tuning does not delete the EGR, and you will have a derate.

I've already blocked the EGR (Still have it installed and plugged in as to not throw a code) and it works no problem. I'm looking to take the EGR intake off and need to put one of these on to block off at the engine block.
