Picked up this trekmaster trailer out in Arizona last week. Never heard of this brand before. From what I can tell they were made in the 80’s till the 90’s sometime. This one is an 88 model. Gonna get it cleaned up and put it on 35s and hook it to the Roxor for work around the house and ranch. Seems like a solid trailer. Looks like CJ flares will work on it. It even came with a set of Weld bead locks wheels. Has a swivel hitch and looks like the suspension has 3 settings to get the ride height dialed in. If anyone knows anything about this brand let me know. I’m curious. They were based out of Barstow, CA so,I imagine they were primarily sold in the desert southwest.

I believe that you did well.
Keep us posted on your restoration.
That should be a very handy trailer. I presume it has a Drain Plug?

That looks sweet. I'm in the process of building one for my Roxor. Will be the same width as the Roxor with a 7ft bed. I figure to make it covered so I can sleep in it with fold downs on either inside so I can lift them to access coolers and fuel under neath it. Will just be tall enough to sit upright on the bed I know it will be a bit tight, but is better than sleeping on the ground or tent. I have the frame made and wheels on. Just came back from picking up steel, OMG, prices are way up. Just framing it up is close to 500. Glad I had the axle and tires on hand. Hope to do some overlanding this summer. I'm in western washington if anyone wants to team up.

No plugs at all. However there are holes in the rear corners where the taillight wires run thru the floor and under the trailer

Don’t know what these bead locks are worth but they look pretty sweet. You can kinda get an idea what the inside of the tub looks like. I’ll try and get some better pics. I sprayed the inside of the tub and the frame with some rust converter today. So it’s all black now.

Hmmm...Anybody ever see the ones the Roxor made ? wonder if they are still around ?

I have. Haven’t seen any on the market lately. They were crazy expensive so I don’t think many were built/sold.

I got curious on that swivel hitch. When I had it lifted up treating surface rust spots and removing the wiring I found a grease zerk on the bottom side of the hitch. But the way it looks from the top it doesn’t look like it even swivels. So I stuck a 2 5/16” ball in it and locked it down and proceeded to tweak the hitch. It rotated counter clockwise easy but was a bit stiff going clockwise. After a few movements back and forth it freed up and moved with the same resistance either way. It probably needs grease in the most dire way. That’ll come after the paint. Paint coming soon. It’ll be all black, a nice universal color that is easy to touch up.

Ordered some new BFG KM3s for the Roxor today. The old Mickey Thompson MTZ’s will become a spare since my current one is a 33 and I’m on 35s and the others will go on the beadlocks and be bolted up to the trailer. I’ll have one left I can put away just in case. After I get them mounted I’ll see what I need to do about the flares. Not sure if a standard set will suffice or if I need some wide ones. I’m thinking it’ll need wide flares.

I ordered some metalcloak led taillghts like I have on the Roxor. They have the factory jeep look but are much skinnier and less likely to get broke from protruding outward.

TxRoadKill, when you get that trailer looking all nice and spiffy, give me a call! I will come out and pick it up and drive around with it behind My Roxor, and let you know how it pulls!

Almost there. Got the lights all wired up. Tomorrow I get new tires on the Roxor and the old ones get mounted up on the beadlocks. Then I’ll repack the axle bearings and call it done.

You did very well. I thought my Military Jeep Trailer was neat. The Trekmaster has it beat.
The Tailgate and Swiveling Tongue will make it very handy to use.
I had never ran across the swiveling tongue before. That feature will make using it in rough terrain a lot better. Elimination twisting torque on the Roxor's Hitch on rough ground should save wear and tear on the Roxor.

That is the best utility trailer for a Roxor that I have seen to date. You did well on the purchase as well as the restoration work.

Waiting on the longer receiver mount to come in so it’ll clear my spare. Still need to repack the bearings but couldn’t wait to put the tires on and see what it looks like. She’s a big girl. To sit the tongue level the top of the ball has to be about 29.5” high.
Now to figure out some fender flares since only about a half an inch is under the trailer. Thinking maybe some 6” flares from a CJ. Should be a direct bolt up I think. Definitely needs something.

I finally noticed the Hi-Lift Jack in the back of the trailer. It looks to have some sort of mounting bracket to go on the receiver on the drivers side on the front of the trailer. Tell us more. I have never seen that before.

Also would you do a good write-up on your Roxor Jack that replaced the Hi-Lift?

Did you see it in the YouTube I made? I showed it but didn’t talk about it too much. I did the 2.25 original. Tauler Jack Kit

The hi lift came on the trailer. It’s a stubby. Maybe 36” tall. I’ll probably paint it red and mount it back up more for resto purposes than need. Has a round mount like some trailer jacks have. Just pins on. Pretty slick for late 80’s designs.
